The 9th Western China International Economy and Trade Fair is to be held from 24 to 28 May, 2008. The Fair boasts a large-scale economy and trade exposition in West China consisting of commodity exhibition, trade transaction, investment promotion, theoretical research and discussion. The Fair, with strong radiating capability and large dealing volume, is a main platform for regional and international trade cooperation for West China.
National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Railroad, CCPIT, and the People's Government of Sichuan Province will host the 1st West China Forum on International Cooperation, themed the construction of a new Pan-Asian transportation and logistics system for win-win, in Chengdu, Sichuan, on May 25, 2008.
This Forum will invite Leadership of CPC and the state, influential statesmen from some Asian nations and territories, leaders of relevant ministries of the State Council, leaders from 12 provinces and autonomous regions in West China and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, representatives from well-known domestic and foreign institutions, enterprises, famous experts and scholars, and media people, over 400 people in all.
